Industrial Outfitters Clothing Company

As soon as I saw all of the pipes and vents that decorated the Science Facility in Get to Work, I knew I had to use them in a retail shop.  After a bit of experimenting, I figured out a way to get those items ( they cant be cloned ) into my lot and Industrial Outfitters was born.

The clothing store is housed in an old factory where the pipes and machinery along with the brick walls give a hipster vibe. Industrial Outfitters has a coffee shop located in the loft area where you can select from a specially curated selection of locally sourced, organically grown treats.  The basement contains restrooms, the kitchen, a small employee lounge, and the manager's office.

Industrial Outfitters fits on a 20x30 lot and is currently zoned as a retail shop, which means you will need The Sims 4 Get to Work expansion pack for it to function properly.

  1. This lot looks amazing! Is it possible to know how to get the pipes in any other place than the science lab?

    1. The pipes are only in the science lab....they dont even show up in the debug item list. I made a small room while on the science lot, put all of the pipes and objects like that in the room and saved to library. Then once you are in another lot, just place the room and unload. Those items cant be cloned either, so you will have to place the room multiple times to get multiples of any object.

    2. Hooray! Then that's the way to get the police station sign onto my replacement lot out in the world, as well! I hadn't thought about the room thing. DOH!!! Thanks, Ruth!

  2. All of the stuff for the hidden career lots that don't show in the buy/build catalogs can e found by using the debug cheat: bb.showhiddenobjects.

The drawback to using these, is that they actually won't show up in the lots when they are downloaded. :-(

I was just going to ask Ruth if there's a way to make the things stick, because so far I haven't found one.

    1. I just downloaded the lot and all the pipes and things were there, the way she placed them. You have to go into the lot and then place it. Don't place it from the world view. Once you are in the lot, all of the objects will be there and the right size.

    2. Oh, that's cool! I just finished a police station replacement. It took me several tries to get everything right, and then when I placed the lot it turned around and when turned, it left all the furniture and only turned the lot and landscaping. So frustrating! I fignally got it all fixed, and none of the hidden objects items were missing, either. So they are working on that, obviously! When I saved a copy of othe original police station, the hidden objects went missing, and several other people I know have saved lots with those things in them, and they have gone missing upon placing the lots. It seems there is hope, though! Hooray!

    3. Hi Linda! :) Since the latest patch, the debug items do indeed transfer. Which is amazing because it gives us a whole bunch of new objects to play around with. :)

    4. I did discover that. Wow! One thing that I found, though, is that you have a much better chance of getting the items to stick, IF you have hidden objects shown when you place the lot. Otherwise, it seems that some of them don't want to stick, reliably. If you have the cheat already turned on, it seems to work correctly.
